The 2018 Osgoode Cup Results (Winners: Sarah Tyler & Harshita Iyer, McGill University)

McGill University wins second straight Osgoode Cup and third all-time, Justice Stanley Sherr offers lessons from the bench

The 2018 Osgoode Cup was the fourteenth annual iteration of the event. The Chief Justice of the event was Justice Stanley Sherr, a noted jurist in the area of child protection who honoured the competition with both his keynote address at the banquet and judging the final round.

The 109 teams (218 participants) competed in four preliminary moots on Saturday March 3th. With 109 final teams competing the 2018 Osgoode cup was the largest cup yet, and the largest simultaneous mooting competition held in Canada ever.

After the preliminary round the top 16 teams were selected to moot on the Sunday, March 4th in a single elimination format. The teams in the final completed eight moots over the course of the weekend.
